5 soldiers shot at Fort Stewart in Georgia, shooter in custody

Five soldiers were shot on Wednesday in an active shooter incident in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area, Fort Stewart officials confirmed.

The soldiers were treated on-site and moved to Winn Army Community Hospital for further treatment.

Officials tell WJCL that one person is in custody and there is no active threat to the community.

Fort Stewart was placed under lockdown around 11 a.m., according to Army officials. Fort Stewart lifted the lockdown of the main cantonment area at 12:10 p.m., while the 2nd ABCT complex remains locked down.

WJCL News has several crews at the scene to gather more information about what is happening at the Army base.

No problem really , just helps im determining the reason for the shooting.  If it was a nig, he could have been upset at KFC running out of fried chicken 🍗   if it was a honk, he may have been upset at not having enough ranch dressing in his salad

I don´t know about the US Military but we always had an Armed Guard & a QRF ( Quick Reaction Force) who were always fully kitted up ready to go.
