X-Men Coming to Marvel
« on: July 29, 2022, 09:19:08 AM »
The X-Men have always been my favorite comic book team, so I was looking forward to them coming to the MCU after the Fox sell. Last year, there was a lot of speculation that it was going to happen during this current phase.

It came out a few days ago that Disney had to buy all of the active contracts, so they can't recast until the contracts are up in 2025. That's why Patrick Stewart appeared in MOM and Evan Peters was in Wandavision.  (there have been so many fan theories about what those castings mean and it turns out it's just a contract issue.)

Anyway, I thought that was interesting.

LOL, I bet x23 and Magneto won't be in the deal.  Not real Disney-friendly, are they?  Fuck Kevin Feige and the laugh-along Marvel Universe.  X-Men would fit better in DC's universe.

Disney is Mickey Mouse Donald Duck and fucking Tinkerbell

Why would an adult want to be associated with that?

I enjoyed what Fox did with the X-Men, I’ll be interested in the new cast. For the most part Disney has done a good job with the marvel universe.

Some great films and some true stinkers.  Gave us Logan, but also bungled the Phoenix Saga twice. But definitely glad they were a part of my younger years. (And by younger years, I mean my 20s and 30s.)

*A while back I was reading some potential casting news for the reboot and they mentioned that one of the actors was a good fit because of his shorter height. Since I get my superhero content from mostly movies, I haven't even associated Wolverine with being short for a while. Jackman did a great job and the next actor is gonna have a lot to live up to, but the fact that they cast a 6'3" dude for a character called Wolverine  :D

The Phoenix saga has always bored me. Movies, animation and comics.
