I have a buddy who fell for the fortune builders thing. It’s the “do you wanna know how to make money flipping houses using other peoples money” guys. He paid somewhere in the range of 30k on a whole bunch of courses and supposed access to systems and other investors stuff. He hasn’t made shit doing it. He started in 2017 I believe. Now he’s trying to do this real estate wholesale thing where he cold calls relatives of recently deceased people in certain areas and tries to bargain them down for the deceased persons house so he can turn around and sell it to a flipper. It’s a sleazy grimy business in my opinion. These scam artists are all over the place and some of them have developed elaborate businesses that make them seem legit.
