So back in the day a friend of mine who never really lifted weights other than lifting semi engines at work wanted to get in shape. This guy was about 350 6'1 and looked like a mini Andre the giant. At first he started to walk then run and eventually got down to about 280. When he finally started to lift he pretty much concentrated on power moves. Within one year a personally watched him put up 600 on the bench, no shirt just pure power. The guys wrists and hands were huge. He had no desire to ever enter a meet. I often wonder what he could have done with some real help. Oh and he never touched a drug. This guy wasn't even aware of what they were and this was also back in 80's and not a place that even knew about stuff like that.

I've witnessed the same type of people do things like this.  Genetics rules.  I always wished my hands, wrists and joints were bigger.  Oh well, you have to play the hand you are dealt.

years ago i saw a average built asian guy(he may have been juicing.. who knows). he put 4 plates on bench press and repped it out like it was nothing(i think 10 reps)... me and all of my buddies jaws dropped in shock.. he had to be around 180lb range

No, this was probably in the early '80's so Aaron would have been too young then.

The guy at 2:45 in this, Wes Crockett, has an interesting story.

He was connected to Suge Knight. Suge Knight accidently shot Wes's brother, Ricardo Crockett years ago, and Knight claims it cost him a football contract with the San Francisco 49ers. Knight would play briefly and uneventfully for the 87 Rams during the lockout. Ricardo would become a pretty major coke trafficker between Las Vegas and LA during the late 80's and early 90's.

Ffwd a little, and Wes is working as security/tour manager/jack of all trades for a bunch of rappers and r and b singers. He hires Suge to work security. Suge develops a relationship with Dr. Dre and The DOC after they split with Eazy E and Jerry Heller.

Death Row starts up, Wes Crockett maintains his ties with Suge Knight, and works in various capacities there. He goes along rather quietly for years, till he was mentioned as being part of a "hit team" used for the murder of Biggie Smalls. That turns out be a prison snitch's lie, but it was taken seriously for years.

Crockett splits from Death Row in the late 90's, and goes to work for Al Haymon, who at the time was involved in the music business. Al Haymon takes an interest in boxing, and brings Crockett along with him. He work as a talent scout for Haymon, and brought him some big names - Paul Williams, Chris Arreola, etc.....

He died just a few months ago.

Danny Trejo overwhelmed by discovery about his ancestry that 'could've changed his life'

While Danny Trejo is well known for his on-screen roles, the actor knew very little of his own family's history.

Thanks to an appearance on PBS’s Finding Your Roots, the Spy Kids actor has finally been able to understand a little more about his heritage.

In a tear-jerking moment, Trejo revealed that the recent revelations about his past ‘could have changed his life'.

“I’m just overwhelmed. You have to understand, growing up, I had three alternatives. I could either be a laborer or a gangster or an informant," the actor explained.

"To learn this, I honestly believe that I think this history could’ve changed my whole family’s life."

The Californian-born actor was raised in the Echo Park neighbourhood of Los Angles by his Mexican American parents.

However, the home was far from a loving one with Trejo being subject to intense physical abuse from his father, who also banned his mother from the family home.

Isolated from his mother and with few roles around him, the Spy Kids actor soon fell into a life of gang crime aided by his uncle Gilbert.

“My uncle Gilbert, who was for lack of a better word a drug dealer, he never complained so I kind of gravitated towards that," Trejo told host Henry Louis Gates during the episode.

His past soon caught up with and Trejo battled with heroin addiction, fuelled by the robberies he committed as a gang member.

After a stint in prison, the actor would get sober and even caught the eye of a casting director during visit to a Hollywood set.

The unlikely incident launched Trejo’s career, with the actor trying to put his difficult past behind him.

Now 78-years-old, he has discovered that his father’s family moved to the US in 1918 with his great grandfather, Cirilo Garay, eventually settling in San Antonio and owning a grocery store.

The biggest shock though was from his mother’s side, who became wealthy ranch owners in San José del Cabo, after emigrating from Mexico in 1904.

His maternal great grandfather owned an estimated 4,337 acres and was a ‘serious landowner’.

Upon hearing the news, Trejo couldn’t believe that his family had such an incredible back story.

“It’s just amazing. I’ve got history!“ he exclaimed with excitement.

Ironically, Trejo has been a huge fan of the area and hadn't realised the connection to his own heritage. He even holidayed regularly in the area.

“Just knowing when I went down to Cabo San Lucas, my family owned some of that land,” he said tearfully.

"I think it's shined a light on who I am on, where I come from and who I come from...I'm really proud of the whole deal."

The actor was clearly touched by the news and has vowed to continue the research after the show.

In the Franco "Strength Feats video, he does 5-reps with 405.
Still very strong, w/ an estimated 470 max. The 'bench press calc's" out there are fairly, and surprisingly accurate it seems.
(Well, for the few folks I know that tried it at least), of course not for everyone, just a guesstimate.

Not 535 (or whatever) as claimed, but still amazing...
