Just finished watching the full Netflix special and I thought it was pretty good. It was nostalgic and enjoyable. Made me realize how much more fun it was to live through the early-to-mid 90's.

You know what's crazy? I had a crush on Ice (Lori Fetrick), the Lesbian gladiator. I thought she was a very handsome woman with a great body and gorgeous face, a true All-American cutie.

Here is Ice when younger versus present day. I still think she is HOT!







I'd put down the gay pledge of allegiance for a weekend with that hottie knowing damn well that after years of Testosterone use her penoris is probably a sizable opponent.

There were quiet a few American Gladiator series, American, British, Australian... and then the revival on if, where I met the founder of American Gladiators, and got to be on the set on opening day and press conference.  With the rivival, they brought it half of the Gladiators from the IFBB/NPC contests so it was nice to know a few faces there. The revival was shot on Sony Studios in Culver City, California (about 15 minutes from Los Angeles downtown).

The stuff about Elden Kidd was funny. He was the oldest and "dirtiest" competitor they had. They interviewed him about throwing elbows during the competition and denying it. He just laughed it off and said, "yeah, I lied."

He ended up becoming a coyote smuggling Mexicans across the border and then spent 2 years in a Mexican prison.

So I’m watching this now, and when the four or five of them got let go and were “lost” not knowing what to do, why the fuck didn’t they just call WWE and become wrestlers? They weren’t making shit, but why wouldn’t one of their agents say “hey dude, you’re jacked and an athlete, call Vinnie Mac”?
