Remember when The Democrats refused to hold hearings on a supreme court nominee because there was only a year left in the presidents term ... and then a few years later insisted on holding hearings for a supreme court nominee with only a couple months left in the presidents term because it's what America wants? Remember when Democrats investigated every rumor about a president and former president (and most of it turned out to be true and he and his cronies were hit with indictments and in some cases, jail time?) and the Republicans actually provided all the testimony and evidence against their guy?

What is the hypocrisy here?

I already said it was poor ethics and horrible optics.

But it's not the equivalency of what Biden is being accused of.  One is a deal to a son in law post administration.

The other is a direct connection while serving as VP, and whistle blowers have already shown the president to have lied twice about this situation.

So if it's an attempt to show hypocrisy, it's a fail.

But if Kushner broke the law, or is found of peddling influence while Trump was in office, by all means, he should be investigated, found guilty, and punished.  Given that, why haven't the Democrats investigated him/Trump over this and attempted to prosecute, especially since they've investigated pretty much everything else they've accused Trump of, no matter how ridiculous?

Key thing to remember, so far, Republicans have only been able to establish claims and accusations.. when Archer testified, which was their star witness, it fell flat. Having said that, I am all ears on evidence that Joe Biden did something illegal. Hell, he's a politician, a life long one.. didn't want him as president though the choice was him or Trump which for me was an easy choice. But so far, all I'm seeing is standard issue Republican nonsense.

Fair enough, but it didn't really "fall flat"...It's enabled the establishment of a pattern of him lying about this, first on the laptop's validity, then on speaking with Hunter's business partners.  Now that we know he was on these calls that he originally said he wasn't on (to talk about the weather according to Democrat Goldman), the question is why was he on TWENTY or so calls to talk about the weather?  It's easy to smell the bullshit here, the question will be if Biden's strategy of plausible deniability in these matters will hold up. Maybe special counsel status will get there, unless that's all a sham too.

Even if repubs sacked up and actually pursued evidence and charges, I think the dems would finally admit Bite'm is mentally diminished and therefor couldn't be charged in court. Dems protect each other like that, right or wrong, they stick together like criminals with a code vs repubs turning on each other.
