Loutard is a thoroughly unlikeable goof, but …

This is very sad.

She is an attractive woman who has remained loyal to her husband for many decades.

I hope for her the best.

One of the things that helped Carla with Lou is that she had a psychology degree, and was able to help sort Lou out when he was grump or  out of sorts. I remember, I think it was Drasin that mentioned it was good to have have her around for that.

Also Bill Cosby once tried to give her the pudding pop -

.

There's a 60's pin up girl that went by Carla's maiden name, Carla Green, but I can't tell if it's her or not. That Carla Green seems older and not as pretty.

^^
GREEN was Carla's Maiden name...

But most guys will tell you their wives handle the money and bills. NOT all men but a lot of times that is how it goes. Terrible news for Carla and Lou and the whole family.

Honestly never heard of anyone with this arrangement .. either the man handles it solo or they do it together.  No reason a woman couldn’t do it but just haven’t encountered it before

Is there anything more beta than “letting the wife handle the finances”? Jesus Christ

women hold around 70% of consumer spending
So on average the woman decides what the money get used for in a marriage.
If thats true why not just let her have the purse strings?

My wife and I just have "money" we dont have mine and yours.
I have a personal account for my salary and some bills taken out , my wife has the majority of the funds in ISAs , premium bonds and cash accounts.
The house is paid for so no mortgage

If she wants to but things for the house she asks me and I say yes, I couldnt give a fuck what she spends it on, I know she isnt an idiot and is going to blow it all

Its a much easier life for me

Money is power. With over 50% of marriages ending in divorce better to control your own even if you think a split won't happen. Harder to get your own money back through the courts if she drains you.
