Certain countries had an aversion to men in thongs up until recently. For instance, Russia and the Eastern Bloc had a real aversion to it till the 90's, most of the Arab countries too. It was better to throw your time into Olympic Lifting were you could have the admiration of your nation, and perhaps be set for life.

Also a lot of countries don't favor the mass monster look. They just don't do it well, and don't like the feel of bulk.   

That is assuming they can afford the food and have the free time tolead a bodybuilding lifestyle.

test p, sust ), but bodybuilding was officially banned in 1973 by the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sports because this activity had been deemed too gay, selfish and narcissistic ( Im exaggerating a bit.)

People still practised bb and competed though.

In the late 80s, the political climate was a bit more open. Friendly Competitions between the USA and USSR had even been officialy organized

As far as addiction goes, the probably very large amount of meth users in Thailand aren't doing so well, I guess. Now Thailand is thinking about adding new reststrictions to the cannabis law.

Another major misunderstanding about roids in Thailand is that it's legal. It is NOT. It's just not enforced a lot. But sometimes the outlae pharmacies get a tip off that there will be police raids so they move their inventory.

I have never experienced that or heard of it.  Every pharmacy that I have been to has had anything up to a CIII available for purchase (if it was in stock) with no script.  I mean there is one by the Nana station that is right next door to a police sub station.  And they advertise test, proviron, clomid, anadrol on the window.  Usually if you want something and they are out or don't have the quantity you want, they can call another store in their chain and ask for you to see what is available before you go and waste a trip there.  There are some hotel concierge that offer this service to call and inquire/order for you.  You just go there and pay and pick up later.

I have purchased CII's in India without a script. (Morphine Sulfate and oxycontin)   Although I did choose the option to pay the 2000 rupees (4000 for both) for a dr script so I could carry it with me in my carry on bag when I fly.  But it was not required.  (Note * I have never purchased anything from the pharms at the airport and in the malls, it has always been outside the tourist areas so it may be different in airports, malls, and the hotel areas.)

My understanding is that the laws in Thailand are harsh and also selectively enforced.  The bars/pharmacies that operate based on illicit activity just pay the cops off.  I didn’t see any sign of steroids advertised or any juicers in general but I didn’t go looking for it

AAS are technically illegal in Thailand. I lived there for 2 years. Just depends on the circumstances.

In Mexico they are legal and very easy to get, but in Mexican culture "muscle men" are seen as pretty boys or fags, so it doesn't catch on much.

Lots of machismo in Mexico.

Oiling up in a thing is frowned upon by most "men".

PEDs are just the finishing touch. I mean look at Hankins for example. The guys on boatloads of gear and still looks like shit.

Those swarthy savages from the list of countries you named do not possess the work ethic, nor have they mastered the precise angles in which to blast each individual muscle head, But most importantly they do not possess knowledge of the Weider principles and therefore will never produce a Mr. Olympia.

Those cultures don't worship muscles like in the US. When I was working out in Mexico there were no big muscled people working out even though there was a pharmacy across the street selling roids.
