Fuck Tulum.  Shitty ass cesspool.  30 years ago it was a secluded paradise.  20 years ago it was an upcoming secret party place.  10 years ago the cartels ruined every fucking thing.  After it turned into a horrendous tourist trap, the usual taxi/scooter/rental scams started popping up.  Party venues always oversold (surprise!) and the events themselves are worse than a high school talent show.  Shitty food, some of the worse I have ever had.  Beaches are seaweed infested and the best areas are blocked off by hotels (of course) who try to charge you just for walking in their space.  I mean you literally can not walk down the beach without some skinny bitch running up and telling you it costs money for "access".   It is no secret the local police will rip you off for any infraction at all.   I am not a fan of shady Mex pharm, but if I absolutely *had* to, I would stick with PV, Cozumel, or Cabo.
