I've learned through hard experience that it's retarded to go IM.  You're doing unnecessary damage to your muscles, and you can (and eventually will, if you stay on long enough,) hit and injure a nerve.  Delt injections are particularly bad.

TRT should be taken subcutaneously.

Definitely. So much easier. Many advantages over intramuscular.

Isn't this appropriate only for regular dosing, not a full ml in one go, otherwise the site lumps...

I can take 1.5ml with zero pain or lumping ever. Didn't try more than that. Some complain of lumps with HRT dosing but many have no problems. I think I saw where they did 4ml of test subq no problem for most.

I run anywhere from 120 mg to 200 per week, how would you space it out and what size and gauge needle

Use a 29-30g half inch and shoot 60-100mgs every 3.5 days.

I've always went Im. Never had any issues. Once when I went into my glute, i always inject slowly. A good 30 to 60 seconds and never have any soreness, bruising lumps etc... no issues. The one time with my glute, I guess I shifted the angle a little bit over the course of the injection.  Well shifted a lot. Didn't realize how much and it felt like a charley horse for a day or 2. But thats the only pain ive experienced.

Stephano, you're saying that IM can damage the muscle? How so, just the repeated trauma of sticking a needle into the muscle?

Yep. SubQ for 7yrs no probs.

I run sust 1ml a fortnight mostly and the pump goes away after 4-5 days. I shoot in the same quad skin. My brother in law does subq in belly just fine for past 6mths on Cyp.

When I switch up to 1ml/wk for downhill mtb riding I use Enth and lump goes after 2 days or so.

Scar tissue just builds up over time.  I don't like glute or thigh injections so did a lot of delt injections, and now they're full of scar tissue.  Hit nerves a couple of times, too, which was very unpleasant.  Tricep and pec injections were okay for me, but they're considered unsafe locations for the long term, so I tried to avoid them.  SubQ is easiest and best.

So you're on 120-200 mgs weekly correct

I shot 75 mgs daily

Glute is always best. Huge surface area of pure muscle tissue and you have two to choose from.  You can alternate the cheeks and location to minimize scar tissue build up.  Just ask Dave P. :D

That looks hideous.

There's really no reason not to go SubQ in 2024.  Easier, less painful because you can use smaller needles, and does less damage over time.
