NBA and WNBA scores?
« on: June 09, 2024, 01:20:04 PM »
Is it so easy to score a point that every time a team gets the ball it almost always ends up with a basket?

The scrores are almost never more than 6 points apart.

If the teams are evenly matched, yes. A normal "basket" is 2 points, a basket from the outer circle near the basket is 3 points (the 3 point line), and then there are baskets you can make when another player fouls you (like a penalty kick in football/soccer), worth 1. You can get one or two "foul shots" usually.

The best games are when they keep tossing three pointers in.

No defense is the norm in the the pro leagues except during playoffs and even then not so much.

That's why I only watch the last 5 minutes of a game.

Basketball is a gym class sport, up there with volleyball and floor hockey.

It's a definition of a sport that is more interesting to watch at the amateur level rather than pro.

That would definitely increase ratings but eliminate ad revenue.
