Strickland a tough bastard... breaks nose, resets it with his fingers and continues fighting.

It was a terrible performance from him, though. Really frustrating to watch. He's forever talking a big game, shouting 'to the death' and challenging Dricus to stand toe-to-toe with him, and then Sean does absolutely nothing the whole fight.

Even his coach was begging and pleading to just open up and take a risk. His nose didn't even get smashed until the 3rd round, and he had lost every minute of the fight up until that point. It has served as a convenient excuse, but the truth is that he just could not pull the trigger at all this time and he got outclassed.

Hoping Dricus turns Khamzat into a vegetable next.

Difference between being tough and being a good fighter though huh?

Mike Tyson is also tough. Stays in there and takes a beating much like Strickland. The reason a guy like Holyfield or an Arturo Gatti are tougher is that they took their lumps but never stopped trying to win. Unlike Mike Tyson or Sean Strickland.

One of my all time favorite fighters.....one tough bastard......the trilogy with Mickey Ward are great fights as Ward was a tough SOB himself.

I'm only a casual but I could say the same about Du Plessis. Somehow watching him fight is boring. Apart from the broken nose it was a boring fight, and both of them were kind of lumbering you would have thought they were heavyweights.

Yeah, they're big guys; Dricus is a unit. Remember, they do these stupid weight cuts and drop insane amounts during training. Dricus is 6 ft and walks around at 220+ lbs when he's not dieting.

I quite like him, though. He's funny on the mic, he conducts himself with as much class as you're going to get out of a fighter, and he has a weird style that's sloppy but effective. He turns up to fight.

Sean just had the demeanor of someone having a bad off-day at sparring who just wanted to go home. He's got to do something to get his head back in the game and adapt his style or he's finished at the top level.

Mike Tyson is also tough. Stays in there and takes a beating much like Strickland. The reason a guy like Holyfield or an Arturo Gatti are tougher is that they took their lumps but never stopped trying to win. Unlike Mike Tyson or Sean Strickland.

Yeah, to be honest, Sean complaining about his nose (and last time it was a headbutt excuse) felt a little bit ignoble. If you fight, your nose gets smashed. It's like a prostitute complaining about an irritated fanny. Remember these two punching each other's noses into dust?

Stricklands lack of fight IQ was exposed in this rematch and Dricuses came front and centre and his mental discipline to adopt a strategy for 5 rounds , in the first fight Dricus stopped for a split second in front of Strickland allowing him to get his jab off which set up everything else for him, this time Dricus made sure he kept moving and switched stances to not allow Strickland the time to get set and get off, especially when in range this confused and frustrated him and he had no plan B. Simple but effective.

Marciano toughest ever

Could be.  It's hard for me to say anyone was tougher. Ali, Foreman and Holyfield were awfully tough heavyweights.  Matthew Saad Muhammad was insanely tough. Eric Morales, Juan Manual Marquez, JC Chavez Sr., Diego Corrales, JL Castillo, Gatti, Ward, Dwight Braxton later Dwight Muhamad Qawi, Golovkin, Usyk and Deontay Wilder in recent years were really tough guys.  I'm not saying Deontay is an all time great but he took horrific punishment from Fury giving up north of 50lbs and got up and scored knock downs and still tried to win.  This isn't necessarily a best chin category.  There is a difference.  But Marciano might top both toughest and best chin lists.  Marvin Hagler probably belongs in both lists as well.

Hope the camel in Saudi Arabia continues throwing money into boxing and makes it great again.  I personally still love it and when boxing is right, there is nothing like it.

Credit where it's due, Deontay was ready to die in that third fight against Fury. Anyone else in there would have been decapitated that night. He was possessed. Great trilogy.

You know who else just popped into my head when thinking about toughness? The Plastered bastard, Antonio Margarito. Disgraced fighter but he took some absolute beatings and never stopped coming forward. I wish I still had the same enthusiasm for the sport, but I'm getting older and can't stand all this YouTube influencer crap, and the hootin' and a hollerin' from today's ghetto trash. It was a privilege to have watched guys like Mayweather, Cotto, Pacroid, Mosely and all of the 2000s era competing live. UK had a great scene then, too.

Dillian Whyte absolutely pissing himself over Deontay getting battered always makes me laugh, LOL.

I like Dillian. I wish him success in his upcoming fight.
