I think it is reasonable to argue Brady deserves an asterisk. But I think he mitigated a lot of that damage by winning the SB in Tampa. Which something that Montana couldn't do in Kansas City, Farve couldn't do in Minnesota or NY, and Rodgers couldn't do in NY. Manning won a ring in Denver, but most would say he rode others coattails that year.
The TB aspect is a good point. But I honestly don't know what type of teams Montana and such had in those cities.
I'm fine with the title and asterisk solution. I'm just amazed how certain teams/players are vilified for certain things, while for others, they get a pass.
Take David Ortiz, for example. ARod, Bonds, Clemens are all out of the HoF for steroid use. but I don't think Bonds or Clemens ever failed a test. Ortiz was actually on the list of 103 during the union negotiations, but the media bent over backwards to create plausible deniability and vote him in first ballot.
