I didn't follow the Michigan election like I did the Texas one. I think losing the Texas election was a bigger deal. Republicans need to pick better candidates. I don't think most Americans support socialist causes. Putting the right candidate up for election should lead to a win based on the issues. At least, that's what I saw in Texas. They could have won that seat easily if they had the right guy running.

Calling someone a terrorist, jihadist, etc. is not sport.  Also, the sore loser didn't call and congratulate the victor.  Double that for Vivek and Amy Acton.  The campaign run against Abdul and Amy were the dirtiest I've ever seen.  Even when they did it in 2008 with Obama, Senator McCain (RIP) had the decency to publicly condemn it.
