As a lifelong Democrat, I never imagined I would watch my own party embarrass itself so thoroughly — and so publicly — as it did during Tuesday’s joint session of Congress.

From obnoxious booing to childish protest signs to a sitting member of Congress having to be physically removed from the chamber, Democrats turned what should have been a solemn, dignified event into a bad reality show.

Thanks for reiterating all these little details even though doing so was completely unnecessary. It is not as if I was in anyway defending House democrats’ actions during that event - quite to opposite. I don’t know about her crying, but Nancy Pelosi is 84 years old. And really old folks sometimes develop ‘the shakes’, also known as palsy.  Also, it is also not unheard of for old folks to have a constant runny nose, also known as rhinitis.

'None of you' might include me except for the fact that I wasn't in the Capital that evening. Instead, I was nearly 3,000 miles away from my home in West Linn, Oregon, sitting in my leather chair in front of the fireplace watching television.
