Once I saw that people were accepting free donuts for taking shots I knew some of humanity was doomed.

Why would humanity be doomed? I'm taking my two-year-old and five-year-old to get their COVID boosters next week, and I've promised them both a trip to the candy store after if they're good. I know that the risk of severe infection is slightly smaller for them but it's the only way to flatten the curve, and I'm not having them risk their grandmother's health.
