I see some folks wearing masks whenever I am out in public. The choice is theirs and it has zero effect on me. So, I ask you, what is the problem with this? If I want to be allowed to choose not to wear a mask in public, shouldn't these folks be accorded the choice to wear one without discrimination?

Have we as a society really become this petty and judgmental of one another? Aren't there more important things to be concerned about?

If I were to guess why someone was wearing a mask today, it would be because they have a compromised immune system and cannot risk catching something like a virus. I mentioned this previously, but at the neighborhood liquor store, there are a couple of youngish clerks who always wear masks. I don’t know why they do, and I would never be so rude as to inquire even though it piques my curiosity.

During the COVID pandemic, masks were required here in most interior public places, so I wore one. Between my glasses fogging up and my claustrophobia making me feel anxious, doing so was a real pain.  As a result, I only went out when absolutely necessary. And I was constantly pulling the mask down below my nose so I could breathe. Needless to say, I was thrilled when the mandates ended. When I saw folks driving around alone in their cars wearing masks, it cracked me up.

This isn't about whether people choose to wear face masks that do nothing to stop them from catching Covid.  It's about government and employer mandates.  Anyone who cares about individual liberty should be concerned about that.

But also seeing people wear masks outside is concerning because it means they are broken people, or at the least are people who have been fooled, manipulated, or frightened by misinformation, lots of which came from our "trusted" sources.  Institutions that we are supposed to rely on in a crisis have been proven to be just the opposite.  Not having trust in our gov't institutions that are responsible to protect us leads to chaos, strife, and a potential collapse.

As for ANY institution mandating a Covid vaccine, it should be questioned, since it was proven to not stop transmission (or was even tested to see if it did), so given that, what could possibly be the reason for the mandate?
