ELIMINATION CHAMBER: JOHN CENA WINS...THEN TURNS HEEL!!!!
« on: March 01, 2025, 11:01:09 PM »
NOBODY SAW THIS COMING!! After 20 years of babyface, John Cena wins the Elimination Chamber to face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Universal Championship.

Rhodes comes to congratulate Cena, only to have the "Final Boss", the Rock (and some rapper named Travis Scott) hit the ring. Rock wants his Faustian bargain answered. Rhodes says he has no soul because he gave it to the ring and the fans. He then proceeds to tell the Final Boss to do something anatomically impossible. The fans cheer; Cena laughs, and high-fives Rhodes. They both point to the WM 41 sign and hugs. But, Rock does the guillotine sign; Cena's face goes blank; Cena smiles again and reaches for another handshake, only to kick the Universal Champ in the nuts, to the HORROR OF THE FANS.

Cena goes medieval on Rhodes, punching him in the face with Scott's gold watch, which splits the champ's eye wide open. Then after choking Rhodes with his own tie, Cena and Scott stretch out the American Nightmare. This allows Rock to unveil yet another weight belt, which the Final Boss uses to horse-whip Rhodes again and on which to smear Rhodes' blood.

I think this answers my question on the previous thread. Gunther and Jey Uso ain't closing night 2 of WM41. It's Rhodes vs. Cena, Jey Uso's Rumble win be damned.

This was sweet! All the complaints about the Rock showing up and disrupting the storylines has been a work…..

I want to point out Jey and Gunther were never headlining night 2 of mania.

That's why I think the Rumble storyline has somewhat outlived its usefulness. Listen to these commentators. You can't say the Rumble winner is main-eventing WrestleMania.....only to later claim the Chamber winner is main-eventing WrestleMania.

They did this BACKWARDS. If they wanted Rhodes and Cena to close the show, just have Cena win the Rumble and pick Rhodes as his opponent. Then, as a consolation prize, let Jey win the Chamber and challenge Gunther for the consolation belt.
