Lil Jon did compete here at Muscle Beach Venice on Labor Day in Men's Physique. Got to say hello backstage in the 'pit' area. He was actually very nice and cool, as was his trainer. I think this is the first time he has ever competed in a contest.

Legendary Foods also hosted a breakfast at the Hotel Erwin (very close to Muscle Beach Venice area) for the old school bodybuilder, and this year did not disappoint. They were honoring Rick Valenti, and his new book that is out. Not sure if some of you can tell who is who in this picture.

Bruce Cardenas (Legendary Social Media and the host of today's breakfast) always takes care of us, as well as Evina Luna Del Pizzo (whom I shot a photoshoot with her a few years back, which was featured in Ironman Magazine) was the interviewer of the event.

Rick Valenti was the host of the ESPN television show BodyShaping, which ran for quite a while on ESPN! Also, he was wearing the most awesome Van Halen jacket (one of my favorite bands when David Lee Roth was the lead singer). And why was he wearing that jacket...

Because Rick was the bodybuilder on the cover of the Van Halen album 5150!!!

I cannot get eye surgery, I think my eyes are -1400 or so. Contacts irritate me. They are in my hand when I take pictures sometimes, and sometimes I have them on.

Two more of some good friends from the past, Jerome Ferguson and Errol Moore.

Errol Moore used to be with Nutrex a while back and his an IFBB Pro. He is going to compete again this year, at the 2025 IFBB Mexico Pro, a week after the Olympia. Errol's physique today with 7 weeks left to go looked incredible. Can't wait to see what he brings to the stage.

Jerome Ferguson, I have known for many years. Worked together when I was shooting for bodybuilding.com, and was nice seeing him again after quite a few years. Has a full bear now, which is cool, and does some minor acting on various show (Lincoln Lawyer, etc).

And as usual, always good to see various friends from booths, including MusclePharm and Legendary, both which had their booths at the event. And then... the girls with feather wings...
