Where does Van live where he can only deposit a few hundred dollars without proving where it comes from? That’s not the US.
I'm in Sweden. I don't know if the same happens in the US but Police do raodside stops of suspected gang affiliates and take their expensive clothes, and obviously jewellery etc, off them tight there if they can't prove how they paid for them and where the money came from, for example if they are receiving welfare and they shouldn't be able to afford an expensive designer piece of clothing. I think they often also take vehicles registered to someone else, say their mom.
OTOH I don't know anyone who has been audited by the IRS whereas on getbig members said a while back there's little possibility of hiding dirty money if they look at you. But you had a couple of others like I think robc who had been audited but had money in watches they couldn't touch IIRC.
