Sure but how likely is a retreat? To me it seems like Trump can't win and he can't leave either. Only bad and worse options on the table. Of course I can't know how it will all play out in the end.

The Iranians know the kind of bad spot Trump is in and even if there was an agreement and a little lull in hostilities the war will resume at some point. Many speculate the war will commence after the midterms. Iranians seem to want it now instead.

Many who think Trump needs to crush Iran say this absolutely needs some level of ground invasion, but as Trump said, he doesn't think Americans "have the stomach for it."

In January (if the Dems win in November) the war will be over for sure because the House of Reps will refuse to fund the war. Mike Johnson and the Republicans should have cut off the funds months ago.

Maybe. But at the same time the Dems don't exactly say no to the Jews and obviously this war was to a large extent for them. And let's say the Dems want to withdraw, Israel will pull the US back in. Then you have to protect "the only democracy in the middle east." It's a uniparty in that respect, a foreign lobby controls both.
