Incredibly strong. A young guy who responds extraordinarily well to gear and isn’t spooked to use a lot of it.

Like most like him, however, he’s likely cruisin’ for a bruisin’.

Everything’s too extreme coming much too fast.

I hope not, of course. But we’ve seen this kinda freak too many times.

Am I the only one that finds these activities to be dumb as shit? Any time you exert yourself to the point where you burst capillaries and find your eyes looking bloodshot, I think you've overdone it.

It's a perfect recipe to end up looking like this guy:

None of those lifts provide you with practical strength that you can use anywhere else but inside a warehouse, lifting heavy shit with men that like to lift heavy shit.

Maybe it's because I'm older, but nowadays I tend to look towards overall health, keeping low bodyfat, eating right, having good cardio and trying to carry less bulk and more lean, quality muscle.

Some guys just do not do average, or play safe. It is their obcession. Its how they find enjoyment in life.

Exactly.

Man craves challenge. It’s in our DNA.

Doesn’t have to make “sense”.

Some of us simply do not want to live life as just another. We aspire to be greater-than in ... something. We know, in the big picture, it means nothing, but the pursuit provides an outlet for our nature.

A man needs to be a man.

Satan knows the powers-that-be are working overtime to diminish our masculinity.

Yes of course. But nobody can deny how strong Dallas was. Larry bleeds often when lifting. He does make it look easy though!

Strength is important and impressive but far from the only physical attribute as you know. When I was involved in Jui Jitsu around the time of UFC 1 or 2  there was a guy hispanic guy whose only physical exercise out of jui jitsu was running. He weighed about 145lbs and it was so amusing watching him submit some of the monsters that came in.  I bet he couldn't bench 185lbs.

I learned the same lesson when I was boxing. Some big guys new to boxing would gas inside one minute.

As I get older I realize the importance of physical attributes outside of pure strength like power, speed, Vo2, skill and muscular endurance.

Haven written that the guy is incredibly strong. Off the charts.

The weight is impressive, but I’m even more impressed that he could get pumped up with that faggy Smashmouth song playing in the background. PIP

What’s the point of writing all that? Most here know about the differing physical attributes and their balanced worth, athletically.

To be exceptional in one domain usually requires the dismissal of the others as even a remote pastime.

Why does fighting always have to enter the convo when muscle and strength is the topic? Oh, that’s right: These are formidable when presented in a fray. Any way you slice it.

And the shrimps wanna whine through their protestations and “amusing” tales of “monsters” being “submitted”.

True - to excel at one you likely have to forfeit on the others.

I think there’s a lot of subconscious jealousy or inferiority complex
Having to keep bring up the other stuff - The Big Strong Man Got Beat  ::) yes it happens.

I remember he did that 845 at the end of his workout.  Beast.

Larry has great arms and should do voice overs with that geared up voice.

.

Very fast lifter with everything through #495. Start at 4:50 in for the #600, bit of a grinder (as it should be), but still almost a 2.25x bodyweight incline.

You’re right. That bar speed through 495 is incredible.

He’s just beyond.
