Best meal replacement powder?
« on: May 23, 2006, 11:58:13 PM »

There are alot out there...Met-Rx, EAS's Myoplex line, Prolab Lean Mass Matrix, Champion Nutrition Ultramet, etc.  What do you guys recommend...I'm thinking of using a MRP as part of my diet regimen.

All the ones you mentioned are good MRP's. More or less they are all pretty much the same and serve the same purpose. Personally...out of all of them I'd go with Prolabs Lean Mass Matrix...try the cinnamon oatmeal flavor...really good!

Or LaBrada Nutrition makes quality MRP's...

Good to add to your diet in both gaining muscle and losing fat or keeping bf levels in check. Use them wisely...no more than 2 daily.

Here is a quick outline on how to use them the right way...

 Meal 1: Solid food meal...(8am)
 Meal 2: MRP  (10:30am)
 Meal 3: Solid food meal...(1:00pm)
 Meal 4: MRP (4pm)
 Meal 5: Solid food meal...(7pm)
Meal 6: (plain whey/egg/casein protein powder mixed w/ water near bedtime)
                                         (10pm)
  There ya go!

It may have to be tailored a little differently to your needs based on the time of day you train or work schedule...a meal, solid or liquid may have to be thrown in there somewhere...give or take.

Thats a good point WOOO makes...

If building muscle is the goal...go with the MRP's because of the added carbohydrates/calories...

If you are trying to lose weight(bf)...go with a plain ol' whey/egg formula mized in WATER.
