i think chuck can be beat if you stand up and throw with him, but no one seems to do that. atack him quickly. however he is really good at throwing from weird positions.

vitor has been called the "phenom" since he came on to the scene

why does everybody still think he has this enormous potential?

maybe he's just not that good

E

cos when he was even a teenager he was deemed unbeatable. Nobody came close until randy beat him but his personal life has made him go downhill. if he fought the 21 year old version of himself he would get humiliated and destroyed, as would almost anyone

his personal life didn't help but i don't buy into that being the reason he hasn't lived up to expectations

he just wasn't good enough

people expected him to be great because he started so young, like he can only improve ::)

it doesn't work that way, some people are early bloomers and hit their peak very early

whatever happened to that Bojado kid who was in the boxing pro ranks at 17?  eevrybody called him the next big thing and I haven't even heard of him after he lost like his 9th pro fight

yes it must be very easy putting everything into a fight when his sister(?) was kidnapped or whatever happened, personally I agree with scimowser.. he would own most fighters

put yourself in his shoes, his sister was kidnapped and then murdered, but you go through life not knowing about it until the police tell you some years later that she is infact dead. During that time people make prank calls to your house telling you they have found her, that shes dead and wont be found. It is IMPOSSIBLE for a guy like Vitor - the only bread winner in his family - to focus on fights. He openly admitted he couldnt train and was only 50% for his fights.

The only guy who really beat him was Randy, but Randy beat everybody. He lost a decision against Sak, then one to Chuck but was still 14-3 in MMA. Hell even Chuck didnt have a perfect record

yeah he has no more excuses now that she is known to be dead

he's not the only fighter that has lost a close family member

true, but how many fighters have lost someone theyre very close to in such ahigh profile way? Its bad enough losing them with time to mourn, he was constantly harrassed about it. All im saying is it is a wonder he still fights, he'll never be the same man in the ring
