i understand this is meant ironically, but think about it.
yeah, i'm sure having your blood levels checked makes everything fine.
Actually, and i think with pros it's probably the same, having your blood checked results mostly in commets like
'okay, it's bad, but at least i know it's not THAT bad' no matter how bad it really is.
so, even all the pros who claim they are under permanent medical supervision will have problems, because these diseases and problems build up over a long time.
i know a guy who had perfectly fine blood levels this week and a heart attack in the next.
massive doses of amphetamine or ephedrine come knocking at the door searching for attention.
and, also what tommygun said, it's sad to see his idols die or get strokes, kidney failure or heart diseases, but that's bodybuilding!
i also remember that pathetic article in FLEX where Matarazzo wanted money from his fans, because he couldn't pay his medical expenses. so much for medical supervision and insurances
