What gives the Vatican the right?
« on: March 22, 2009, 07:40:06 AM »
Over the centuries they've snagged and hidden away countless volumes of human history.  What's up with that shit?  What gives them the right to hide this stuff?  This knowledge is ours, it is our history, not the property of the Vatican and certainly not their right to hide!!!  Their dirty in-house secrets, fine, they can hide that shit, but non church related things, no!  Much of their library was obtained nefariously anyway, some of it by murder!  I propose the Vatican be stormed by force and the stolen knowledge be placed in a special library for all human kind to share!!!

We don't want a bunch of pedos hiding our history do we?  Hell no...

I would try to answer but I don't really know anything about this stuff.  Do you have a good link you recommend?

I propose the Vatican be stormed by force and the stolen knowledge be placed in a special library with human access to our history.

the vatican's stated filled shelf space is 52 miles worth.

"As the centuries wore on, the list of banned and dangerous books grew and grew, thanks to repeated expansions of the enemies list and aggressive attempts to snuff out the list's members. The Inquisitions rounded up hundreds of books on topics ranging from Protestantism to Witchcraft and ritual magic, to the libraries of groups like the Knights Templar and the Cathars. "

anything that didn't fit the world according to the church was stolen where it now sits in the library.  to have access to a book or manuscript from the vatican, you have to know it exists there.  You have to make a case of why you need it and they will approve or disaprove you.  You're going to be denied most likely unless you're out of a university and even they won't have access to most of the work since they don't know what most of the works are and can't ask for them.  and if it's in the secret section, forget it all together and they do have a large confirmed secret section filled with stuff they never want mankind to get their hands on.

I just want to retrieve what does not belong to them.  Once my army is amassed, we'll go in and snag the goods but we won't kill anyone.  We'll just leave them all ducktaped naked to the Vatican obelisk out front. ;D

If you do this, I will not get in your way, and I will not shed a single tear either.

Protecting their interests.

Keeping their scam going.

Catholic influence and money making.

They have done it ever since the dark ages stared. Killing scientists and free knowledge.

Sadly, we are simply not out of the dark ages yet.
