How the baggy , pants off the azz, walk like a duck  look, got popular I will never know....
Howie

It started with black kids emulating the jailed criminals in their neighborhoods. When a criminal is released he is given a pair of jeans usually xxxl with no belt. The kids see the dumbasses arrive back in the neighborhood with these ill fitted jeans and think its badass, so they all go out and buy the same oversized jeans. Stupid or creative, you decide?

You will also be interested to know the fist punch came from the ghetto as well. Suspected drug dealers were often accused by stupid cops of passing drugs to their friends when shaking hands with them. So to stop from being falsely accused ghetto folk started just touching fists instead of shaking hands.

Thank you New York.

hmmm, don't know that one, maybe just a look that comes from the hot dog days of summer hanging on the porch. not sure. Or maybe they are running out of ways to uniquely identify themselves.

Those wanna be gangsters make you laugh.  How do you run from the cops when your pants are falling down.  I thought that look would die, but 10 years later and the kid with the 30" waist is wearing 40's with about 6" of his boxers hanging out.  I never got it and never will.

That look is pretty much dead here in NY, now their into really long white t-shirts now. Who knows, I think its time they crack open a book. The thing that gets me is the parents dress hip hop too. Its unbelievable. Then they wonder what went wrong.

The one leg up, one leg down started in Chicago...it has to do with gang alliance of PEOPLE Nation or FOLK Nation...left leg up they roll under the FOLK Nation and vice versa.

The Big Overblown white t-shirt is common now and that originated in the west coast with Blood/Crip matters...

I cant think of the rappers name but the song goes...'In my white tee...in my white tee, I bang in my white tee I sling in my white all up in da club I spit game in my white tee i gleam in my white tee look clean in my white tee...hispanic, cracker, nigga look good in a white tee..."

crip/blood gangs were seen to sport giant white t-shirts as did this rapper and it blew up among the ghetto and bangers across america.

 It's even in white suburbia.

Fascinating subject. Question is what will they think of next? What will be the ghetto trends in the coming years?

I dont know but do you remember all the ghetto derelicts wearing a band-aid on their cheek like nelly did the summer of 2002?

How about pacifiers around their neck? I'll tell ya blcak kids age 9-21yrs old will fkn wear a diaper on their heads and sweedish kilts if some rapper wore one in a popular video...they are such mindless automatons.

Snoop wore a PittsBurgh Penguins hockey jersey in his Gin/Juice video and what happened? Every young negroe in the country had to go out and get a NHL jersey...Segrams Gin never had such an increase in sales. KoolWater cologne sales skyrocketed when Snoop also mentioned it in one of his songs..

Remember from the late 80's maybe 1990...Kris Kross? Those little negroe kids who wore their clothes BACKWARDS? Yup...they did that to.

Know whats funnier...ghetto hip/hop wannabee gangsta Chinese Kids. Now thats comedy if I ever seen comedy...

 Thanks, brother!

You know...if I owned a supplement company...I would pay 'fitty'(50Cent) to 'say' he uses or drinks (brand x) protein shakes or uses their creatine or whatever...

FAWK sponsoring these bodybuilders...fawk these MMA guys or wrestlers...the $$$ is in the hip/hop rap industry.

It was by chance...on MTV Cribs...Nelly had a couple bottles of MuscleMilk on top of his refridgerator...the camera didnt go directly towards it, Nelly didnt showcase it but it was visible and it was clear enough that my buddy who owns a shop who sells MuscleMilk told me he cant keep MuscleMilk on his shelves and upped the price a few bucks and he didnt know why so I asked him...I asked him if he notcied more negroes who he never seen before or arent regular customers or look like they never seen the inside of a gym...if they are the 'new customers' and he confirmed and was shocked and asked how I knew...I told him what I saw on cribs.

He wasnt complaining...he cashed in on it. Hahahaha...even funnier...one negroe customer asked him if MuscleMilk came in 'RED'...he said..."WHAT???" and the negroe stated again..."dis stuff come in RED?'' so my buddy thought about it and asked him..."Cherry?" the negroe goes...'J'eagh!' but was told it doesnt come in CHERRY. Hahahahahahahaha! Trust me...I wasnt suprised. I shook my my head.

what's up Howard !
you should come here more often

Thanks. I used to suffer from bodybuilding gossip board addiction and made many suffer with my rambling tirades on various issues with our sport and muscledom in general.
I now spend my days sucking farts out of dead cats.

In my humble opinion, so long as the "look" is the latest trend or fashion, it is ok by me, every generation and culture has its thing ya know. Being clean and groomed makes a major difference as well. The kid I saw squatting in the baggys was hispanic,no biggy, but I thought it was kinda funny how his buddy had enough sense to wear a tank top and shorts to work out and his buddy was in his street clothes...maybe he came in on the spur of the momment on a guest pass, who knows.

I hear you. Never will I understand why a man would walk into a store, try a pair of jeans that fits and then say "I'll take em, only make it 10 sizes bigger!"

I know people laugh at how they dressed in the 70's and 80's, but I think this really takes the cake.

Bluto, finally we agree on somethin!!!

I wonder where / what those 2 rap stars of days gone by are doing today?
Is it just me or do most rappers hit a wave and fade quick?
