Are the Pro-Bodybuilders with endorsements from companies like muscle-tech required to compete a certain amount of times per year?

The reason I am asking is that if you look at Kamali, clearly he was was not ready for Europa and should never have stepped on that stage.  However, could it be possible that he was required to do so under a contract with Muscle-tech?

Every Athletes Contracts are worded differently.
Your boy certainly thought his chances would be better without Big Names to compete against in TX, sadly, it doesn't take Big Names to humble him simply a good body!
Sadly, he will meet the same fate this weekend in Canada but I will go a bit easier on him since we all (INCLUDING RON & Isaac) relaize the Joke is really Tamali not his body.
