The IFBB doesn't simply "offer pro cards" like the PDI....there is a system in place to EARN them. He has to have met the criteria set forth by the IFBB affiliate in his country of origin, then be accepted by the IFBB.

Do you feel most of the foreign pros deserve and "EARN" their pro cards? Most of them could not win anything in the US (ie Nationals or USA's).

Ever wonder how many Olympia Tickets are comped.  Allot more than you think.
Who cares. What about this thing with the PDI comping tickets. Did you honestly believe the NOC was almost sold out or were you in on the scam?

It's irrelevant if  they would/could win OUR Nationals/ USA...They have to be the best where THEY compete, or qualify via the World Championships.

There have been plenty of guys that have turned pro overseas, that went on to be successful bodybuilders...Arnold, Franco, Yates, Priest, Gunter, Marcus, etc, etc....

Remember the US pros are *not* drug tested.

The foreign pros must past comprehensive drug tests to gain a pro card. Not some fake ass one like the Team U - the real deal. Even ephedra is banned. If they fail - no card. In my region they must actually submit to random testing throughout the year [24hrs notice given only], have a certificiate to show they are 'drug free' to even enter a pro qualifier, and then they are tested again right after the show.

With all due respect the new pros coming out of the US, they could not pass a drug test whatsoever.

The drug testing is what causes this disparity. Start giving the top level NPC guys random tests through the year, and test them right after the show, ban all ppl who test positive - and you will see a massive decline in quality.Mind you - all off topic with myself - it has helped retain female bodybuilders popularity here.

PS: Thanks Chick. The PDI guys are dropping like flies :-\

There are more than 25 competitors from what I hear.  That guy from Brazil looks pretty good too.

No way dude!  It was the only unpredictable thing about that weekend.

Also I have odds that it's Ron-Dex-Cuts at the O.

Who wants in on this bet?  I want 2 to 1 odds!
You obviously weren't there and didn't follow it much - it was a blowout with David Henry the favorite and no one came close to "Challenging" him.

I have to side with chic here 240.  He's right to post it.  We all know what he means by it but you can't complain about him posting the truth.

NOC looks like its going to be an unsuccess unfortunately but if special ed is right in saying the tickets are priced that much it doesn't suprise me.

is there going to be a webcast of the NOC, and if so where?
