Was the crowd really as small as folks are saying?

Shows come, shows go, but based on hotel prices, there's no way that Atlantic City can support a pro bodybuilding show.  I could only afford to send one minion to this show and his hotel bill alone would pay for a full weekend's trip to other places, like Dallas or Columbus.

There was a lot of quality and depth on the (pro) women's side...it's a shame that this show probably won't be back in 2007.

Like the ones Wayne dumped this year?

How's the hunt for those shirts coming along?

I hear you're not coming to the Olympia like you said. That saddens me Keith I wanted a picture with my biggest buddy on Getbig. Why am I not suprised you aren't following through with yet another thing?

That could be the first truthful thing you said.  Thanks buddy

And Lift I decided not to satify you homosexual tendencies by letting you see me at the Olympia.  Sorry man.  Oh just a heads-up, the shirts were never lost.  Fedex didn't deliver them.  Call them ask for Tim Brereton and he will explain it to you since you obviously have a hard-on for trying to make me look bad.  Sorry, I shipped them with plenty of time.  FedEx has accepted 100% responsibility for the non-shipment and has reimbursed the cost of the shipping and we will get the value of the shirts in future shipping.  So instead of failing to make me look bad, call him and get owned.  But, I highly doubt you will admit you are wrong.  So far you have'nt yet.  And did you buy yuor life preserver yet.  The IFBB ship is sinking and I wouldn't want you to drown. ;)

You know whats funny about your posts.  Everytime the IFBB does something wrong you have to refernce the PDI.  Are you truly that stupid or just pretending.  You do realize the IFBB is over 40 years old.  And they still aren't close to getting it right.  That says something about them.  It also says that you do belong with them.  Losers seem to flock together.  Nice try but you lose sonny.

The T-Shirts were ugly anyways. I don't think anyone is heartbroken about not getting them.

That's the best you could come up with Keiffer? Come now. You talked smack about going to the Olympia and laughing at it all. Now you're going to stay put and keep being a keyboard warrior? What an epic battle you've staged.

If they weren't lost then they are back in your grubby little mitts by now, right? It's only been 1 1/2 weeks. You said you'd keep us posted and I'm kindly reminding you of another thing you've failed to do. No one here needs to try and make you look bad, every time you post about the IFBB you do so yourself. :)

Keith - Glad to hear that the shirts weren't lost and that you're receiving reasonable compensation in return from FedEx.  At this point, are they available for purchase online?

Lift - I don't want to pretend to speak for Keith here, but I think one of things both he and I notice is a failure among many of the IFBB's mouthpieces (whether official or otherwise) to admit that there are systemic problems within the organization that really should not exist after being in business for decades.

It's unreasonable to expect everything to be fixed overnight, but if the people who have some say in the matters (whether official or otherwise) are constantly in denial that there are any problems, then real progress can never be achieved.

I've said multiple times that I do *not* want to see the IFBB fail.  I hope that it will continue to be a big organization featuring the top physique athletes in North America.  Ideally, I'd love for it to be able to expand to include Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia, but to do will require a completely different business philosophy and strategy.  Personally, my support for the PDI does not equate to wishing ill upon the IFBB - I hope that the PDI's existence will be an incentive for the IFBB to shore up some of its weak spots.

In short, there's no way that the recent Night of Champions' audience should've been so much larger than the crowd at the Atlantic City Pro.

I can admit there are things that should be changed. Never said that. Show me anything that is perfect though.

Just because Wayne gave away more tickets then the promoter of the AC Pro doesn't change the fact that the QUALITY of comeptitors on stage paled in comparison. Any one can give tickets away, but at the end of the day did it change anything? Not so much. That being said, I think the promotion and the turn out for the AC Pro was terrible and the promoter is the only one to blame. There is no excuse for having a poor turn out when you have 3 of the 4 IFBB divisions competing.

considering it's the first show done by the PDI and the IFBB pretty much has set a precedent that if you cross them your career is over, I think the quality at the NOC was fine.  Was it OLympia level?  No.  But it was the first show in a new orginazation and compared to what it could have been had some guys, LEE and Sami not had the balls to go up there the quality was fine.  Now in 3 years if the quality does not improve then you can hang your hat on that but for now it's unfair to lambaste them for the quality of a show.

SOMEBODY GETS IT!

Thank you, Tre.  That post was so good, I don't think I could have written it.  The old IFBB way of keeping this industry small has many cracks and it is starting to crumble.  They could only constrain it for so long.  Growth can only be achieved with competition.  Everyone needs to stop thinking so small.
