I doubt Olbermann wrote that commentary, but he was always a good speaker.  I liked him better on ESPN.

He's on The Dan Patrick Show on ESPN radio at least once a week.  He should stick to sports.

First of all if it were on the sexually abusing blowhard's show O'Reilly wouldn't let him talk. And don't pretend he would. O'Reilly guards that show like a rabid pitbull.

And second O'Reilly believes in the shout and overtalk school of debate. This means that his strategy would be to not let anyone hear what Olberman was saying if they debated face to face.

He's a blowhard of the highest order and he's a jackass hypocrite who sexually abuses his employees and then pays them off and then pretends he did nothing wrong and that he was blackmailed into paying  . He's got about as much credibility as Rush Limbaugh.

Of course to your Right Wing Zealot way of thinking he's probably the second coming of Jesus.

Olbermann took on Coulter as well.

While Olbermann made some good points regarding how Coulter's hatred for the 9-11 widows is hypocritical, he fcuked up by taking a cheap shot at Ann Coulter.

Olbermann made a commentary about how Ann Coulter never was going to be in Playboy.

Pretty funny, but extremely out of place when trying to deconstructing her. Her looks has nothing to do with her political views. Totally irrelevant.

It's extremely disappointing to see a political commentator such as Olbermann get personal like that.

They should hold themselves to a higher standard.

BTW, if he did some research, he would know that Voltaire never actually wrote that stuff about "I may hate what you think, but I'll defend your right to think it 'til death". It was some biographer who summed up Voltaire's ideal in that sentence.

Olbermann seems pretty ok. But I don't fancy commentating shows, where you're told what to think. Explanatory while using facts, yes. The deconstruction of O'Reilly was actually pretty good.

But demanding an apology for the Rose Garden speech by Bush?

The Limbaughs, Olbermanns, O'Reilly's... That's just bad journalism. They're sitting in TV, telling people not only what to think, but about what they should think.

Total mind control.

Give us more interviews where the interviewer ISN'T trying to steal the show. Where the interviewer is actually interested in what the answer to the question is.

Hedgehog, I respect your opinion in the above post, and I agree with many points you raise, ...however, Olbermann is upfront that his show is commentary. What I take issue with are networks like Fox who straight up insult the intelligence of the viewer, who put forth nothing but opinions, propaganda, and spin, and attempt to call it journalism, ...fair and balanced. 

As for the comment that she'd never get into Playboy, ...that was a low shot, ...however, when you consider Coulter's craven approach to attention, ...I doubt that it's not hardly fitting. I'd be surprised is she didn't harbour secret fantasies to be in playboy, ...or at least asked to be. not trying to be catty, ...just my opinion.
