You can tell so easy when Bob gets miffed and doesn't know what to do.  He is calling Manion for answers.  Right now they are adding in that clause so Bob doesn't get in trouble.  But they are editing it so Lee does get in trouble.  Funny how they change rules yet do not advize the pros themselves.  Manions phone must be busy.  He'll be back with a perfect answer

Bob - It took you less than 7 minutes to respond to my original post but it has been over 6 hours for you to provide the information that is supposed to be so easily accessible to support your claims.
You also claimed that you hosted the entire event which is not true. You only emceed the Fame portion and did not appear for the NPC portion which makes it even more controversal. These are some very disturbing circumstances that should be cleared up!!!

As the athlete rep and the athlete in question I think you should lobby to the best of your ability to release the suspension on Lee Priest. Lee's suspension should be lifted until these matters are cleared up. Either that you should go on immediate suspension and not be allowed to emcee the Olympia until a hearing is performed.

Please do the right thing and bring some integrity to this sport. We have to start somewhere.

Very true. Richer too, once you've died.

Hey BoB -
Any luck finding that clause in the IFBB rule book that allows IFBB Pro's to work at Non - sanctioned events ?

He's hoping it goes away.  There never was one.  Maybe Manion is typing it up as we speak.

I was wondering this Chic.  How about the guys who come over and Guest Pose for Designer Body show.  That is a non-sanctioned event.  Shouldn't they be suspended to.

before this thread I was pretty much un-bias towards Chick/ IFBB and such - after his response or lack thereof I have lost a great deal of respect for him. He is in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM and Athletes Rep. An athletes Rep would have looked into these events and provided an angle in which Lee could defend his decision. Chick is just another IFBB puppet and all he does is help inforce their rules. Seriously - your title should be "IFBB Sheriff"

Lack therof to what? No answer seems to be good enough for you, so what are you expecting.

Whatever "angle" Lee is looking to use to fight his suspention is HIS responsibility. I'm not a lawyer. Lee chose this course, now he has to face the consequences of his actions....that was HIS decision.

I informed him what those actions would result in...that's my job.

You told us you were going to provide a copy of the rules showing a clause where it was justified that you participated in the Fame show ??

According to the rules of the IFBB - you violated the same policy as Lee !!

As the Athlete Rep did you enlighten the IFBB of this ??

Actually, I received a letter from Tony Blinn (IFBB Official) reguarding my involvement in the Chicago Expo that Wayne DeMilia put on, as well as my involvement in the BB.com EXPO which included a FAME show.

I explained that I was indirectly involved, as my company was a sponsor of the event, and I was working for my company...plain and simple. I also talked with Jim Manion around the same time, and he informed me that they had made an amendment to the rules reguarding pro's working for their companies, etc.

The amendment, is short sighted at best...which is the reason I opted to challenge the rule as it stands and make it feasable for IFBB pro's to participate (and make money) making appearances, guest posings, seminars, openings, etc. at non-sanctioned shows/ expos.

As you can see, I'm not "above the law" (unlike Steven Seagal) and have to adhere to the same rules as everyone else...there have been plenty of pro's who have been cleeared to make similar appearances, but it is the exceptioon, not the rule...

I'm looking to make it the rule.

BTW...I had no involvement with the NPC show which was held the next day, because I was on a plane for L.A., with business to attend to the next day. Ironically, it was Lee Priest himself who didn't show up for a scheduled guest posing at the show....

Anything else you need to get through the next chapter?

yes - where is the amendment? or was it just a verbal agreement between you and Jim Manion ?
