If you don't progress why keep using that same system. I could make your calves grow beyond believe.

I just told you I try different things.  How do you suggest I train them?

5 minutes of skipping rope everyday. Walk more on your toes. Run on your toes. Super slow negatives with restt pausing. But you would be in so much pain you will be crying for a week!

Where do you walk on your toes at?   ???

I don't think this plan would work because I have done slow reps, with high volume, high reps.  My calves do get sore from my training.  Nothing new here.

In high school I played soccer and trained my calves and they made little progress while everything else grew.  So your theory that I undertrain them is wrong.

2 sets a week. day 1 standing calf raises cotrolled positive 5 second negative after reacher maximum contraction followed by 15 seconds at the bottom position. Do that for 15 reps. Day 2 do seated the same fashion.

HIT, oh brother  ::)

You are getting brainwashed by a smaller man. Obviously what you where doing before with the hit stuff was working for you. Now you will shrink into oblivion.

I wasn't doing HIT though.  More like AST training, moderate amount of sets really.

I find it astonishing that the leader in human evolution would need to pay someone to train him when he is publishing training articles himself!!

09.26.06Coming Soon ” Goodrum’s Guide to Great Calves”Posted in Announcements at 9:50 pm by Vince

The most common problem that bodybuilders have developing is their calves My new e-book, “Goodrum’s Guide to Great Calves” will be available for at no charge. This book will outline the training methods I used to develop my trademark calves and will be a valuable asset to anyone who has struggled for years to develop them.

This book will be available in Mid-November. No pre-order is nessesary and will be available in our online store.

Good on ya Vince! But MY trademark calves didn't come from any direct gym work and they are studded like diamonds...

Completely worthless.  The calves are a bodypart used daily for walking so you must use a method that is more intensive and more brutal than its normal workload

I do something similar for my calves, though I like to hold the contraction at the top, and I do rest pauses and switch toe positions each pause and end a set with a 30 second static contraction. Before I started doing sets like that my calves hadn't responded in a long time, so maybe that will work for Bast

Picture is at a bad angle.  Doesn't truly highlight my back.  Collard should be releasing the rest of the photos soon so its no big deal.

Actually, that's not a bad pic.

I'd never step on STAGE looking like that, but it's not a bad V-taper, and calves look not bad too.

But my trademark calves were still looking crazy even when I wasn't flexing.  My free ebook will give my secret method of training them to huge proportions.  The funny thing is that I only use 200 pounds when I do train them and I only train him once every 2 weeks.

Its going to be a cool book, trust me.
