ABB Signs WWE's John Cena
« on: November 14, 2006, 07:10:13 AM »
AURORA, Ill., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- American Body Building Products, LLC® (ABB®) -- THE Force in the Gym® -- joins forces with entertainment heavyweight, John Cena, to promote America's #1 Brand of Serious Performance Beverages.

Best known as the reigning WWE® World Champion, the 6'1", 240 lb. athlete's fan base extends far beyond sports entertainment and bodybuilding. Not only does Cena appear regularly on many popular TV shows, but he also starred in his first big-screen movie, "The Marine," which was released in theaters last month.

Outside of the ring, Cena is an accomplished music artist. His 2005 debut CD, "You Can't See Me," sold 400,000 copies, and earned Cena accolades from top names in the hip-hop community.

Cena's love of bodybuilding and support of ABB® products go back many years to his roots as a front desk clerk at Gold's Gym in Venice, CA, where he had the opportunity to meet and befriend many of the bodybuilders he admired as a youth.

Cena's longtime support of the ABB® brand, coupled with his incredible work ethic and deep appreciation of his loyal fans, led ABB® Co-Owner, Tony Costello, to comment, "We are incredibly excited about this new partnership and look forward to working with John. Upon meeting him, I was very impressed with his high level of professionalism and genuine interest in the representation of our brand."

"ABB products have played a vital role in my training and career success over the years," said Cena. "I am thrilled to be representing a brand that I respect and whose products I trust."

John Cena will be appearing live at upcoming ABB®-sponsored events and will be featured in upcoming national print advertisements throughout the remainder of 2006 and into 2007.

Ugg...  Shouldn't their bbing label have a good pro bber?  Why didn't they use Cena for Optimum instead?  Or even Science Diet?

nothing bad can come of this for BB, Cena has a huge fanbase and if he can bring some people into the "sport" it can't harm a thing.

I met John Cena in Venice Golds about 6 years ago.  He was wrestling at the roxy on sunset blvd in amateur wrestling.  He handed me a flyer, and we talked for a while.  I knew back then he was going to make something of himself.  He's a very nice guy, and a true gym rat "back then anyway."  I didn't even know he made it till I saw him signing autographs at the olympia weekend and then on the cover of flex, and I said hey I know that guy from somewhere.

That guy busted his ass to promote himself.  Good going John, all that hard work paid off!

I think he should change his last name, Cena isn't very cool sounding.

Change it to Jeffries. John Jeffries, that's pretty cool sounding, and then he could call himself "JJ" or Double J.

Cena, that makes us think of the warrior princess Xena.

Not good. I guess that's why John Cena hasn't made the final step to stardom yet.

JJ - that's cool sounding.

do mods get any money, or do they do it for the love of the game? They must be selfless, caring people with hearts of gold.

ABB made a good choice with Cena, on the WWE's most popular personalities. And Cena was pretty cool to meet.

Jeff Jarrett beat him to the Double J thing.  Cena's a Boston Boy.  His farther is a small time promoter, which probably opened allot of doors.

Cormier is worn out and they should drop him from ABB...I hate to say it, but Cormier had great potential and now he just needs to hang it up...
