Cheating while Bulking???

How many days or meals a week do you allow for cheat foods when bulking and trying to minimize fat storage?  cheating = subway, quiznos, pizza, etc

I say eat up while your bulking. Your not gonna want to eat that stuff when your dieting. Couple times a week, dont over do it. Dont be too restrictive when your trying to get big.

I err on the side of eating clean, even when bulking.  It is possible to substantially increase caloric consumption without eating junk.  For my purposes, the cheat days mean more food, but good food nonetheless.  If I add junk, it's because of a social situation and I'm not fooling myself that I need it to build muscle.

I wouldnt cheat on bulking.  The reason for cheat days is to jump start your metabolism.  Your body is very adaptable, so when you consume a lower amount of calories your body will adjust itself so it runs on that lower amount of calories rather than keeping your metabolism high and burning fat. 

The only thing cheat days while bulking will do is add to your fat storage.  Bulking is consuming more than enough clean calories as it is without cheat days to ensure muscle growth, hence the weight gain while bulking.

Get Bigger, than whats with the dieting schmieting thing if you insist on eatin only clean foods to bulk? I just like to go with how my body feels. I have really high calorie days and times where i eat really clean but theres no sense in having to restrict yourself so much when bulking. Im not sayin im eating ice cream, candy bars, and downing milk shakes. I wont hesitate to get in on some pizza once during the week or eat some subway. Gotta eat big to get big.

is subway really that bad for u. i tend to have a sub from there 1-2 times a week. usualy the oven roasted chicken breast on wheat no mayo, just mustard, lettuce, and some oil and vinegar

Subway is not that bad.  I go for the Turkey Breast Wrap:

Cals: 190
Fat: 6g
Prot: 24g
Carbs: 18g
Fiber: 9g

Other selections can be deadly though.  At least Subway is honest and publishes complete nutritional information for all of its selections.

You bulk up cleanly you save cutting time AND muscle mass.....which is important for me......maybe not for you, but it is for me.  

Plus re-read his post..........I do believe there is something in there about minimizing fat storage.  Gotta eat big to get big........exactly...... .lol.

Right on, yeah i guess you could say its not too important for me. I dont like worrying about it unless im trying to cut up or lose weight or something. I just eat pretty clean and lift hard. Works for me.

And thats all the matters bro, is what works for you.  I typically cut every spring time so its a pain in the ass if I overeat during the winter and have to lose like 30 lbs.  I have learned to do it clean since I have a slower metabolism and gain fat storage easier than you probably do.

Those foods never did anything good for me, I know that.  I'll just stick to my "fallacious" nutritional program.

Nah, I store the fat pretty well, but when i restrict my deiting too much i feel week and overworked. Chicken breast and brown rice, no matter how much i eat doesnt take care of business. I feel hungry within a half hour of eating it when Im eating 6-7 times a day. This spring im hoping to get shredded so we'll see how my policy has worked out for me. Ive cut weight for some fighting competitions but never really dieted for looks. Its a diff game and getting shredded to preserve muscle mass is a much more difficult one if you ask me.
