I always have, but my girlfriend is really annoyed by it.

yep have too.  did you know that Elvis Presley had a TV in every room of his house.  He oved watching TV.  He said it made him feel not alone.

It's a way of shutting out the demons. Use ear plugs to keep the noise low.

yup.have for MANY years and cant sleep without it on. when i finally want to turn over and sleep i just put it to a show i dont really wanna watch, that way it doesnt keep me interested

Need it.  Also use the timer. It's a bad habit, but I need it.  I just put a all night news station and listen for a while till I'm out.  The timer is set for 2:00 and only once in a while I hear it click off but by then I'm too tired to turn it on.  Pisses the wife off, but after 12 years, she's come around.  2 bedrooms doesn't hurt either.

Yeah im with you guys that cnat sleep without it on. But i lucked out my wife likes to go to bed with the TV on. She just hates when the timer isnt set and she wakes up at 3:30 when a loud ass thing happens. So i get lucky when it comes to it being on. But half the time she gets to watch what she wants and her choice is nick at night. Ive seen every fuking episode of fresh prince of bel air...... lord save my soul...
