Help with AM Supplement/Meal Timing

I have always been used to doing cardio in the AM and training mid afternoon but now I need to start training in the AM and shift my cardio to the afternoon.  I will be getting up between 7:30-8:00 and my training will start 8:30-9:00.  I'm guessing rolling out of bed and heading right to the gym would be better but I need 1/2-1hr to tend to a few things in the AM before I can head out. 

I'm guessing I will want to consume some protein/carbs first thing in the AM unlike doing cardio on an empty stomach.  I'm wondering what would be my best combination of protein/carbs before my AM training.  Would I want to leave out the carbs all together for this meal?  I'm sure this first meal will be in the form of a shake and not solid food but I'm not sure what the best shake "recipie" would be to fit into this schedule.

Also I am used to popping an EC stack before cardio on an empty stomach with 500ml of water.  I always felt better results taking it on an empty stomach but my timing is getting throw off.  When would be the best time for my EC now.

i wouldnt leave out carbs since its energy. depends on how you feel. ill probably eat a regular breakfast. some oatmeal or whatever. if you dont feel like eatin too much or dont have time make a shake. you decide what to put it in, some protein powder, water or maybe milk, maybe a banana etc
just try a couple of different things and youll see what suits you im sure

 i suggest waking up at 6:00am to eat a decent meal and have some time tend to things after that.
