Blew the tranny yesterday, no warranty anymore. Gunna cost me $4000 for a new one.

That quote was directly from dodge.
A rebuilt one is going to cost me 2000+ and then installation on top of that. I was quoted 1500$ for a used one. I dont like the fact that a rebuilt one will give me 30days warranty versus a new ones 3 years.

don't take your auto to the dealer.

keep it and part it out if you can,

fix and forget about the warranty are you going to be keeping it for that long?

fix it and get rid of it

Sorry to hear about your vehicle.

Check out this site to see what you'd be able to sell it for:  www.kbb.com

If you're upside down by a large margin you should probably fix it and keep it.

If you're not upside down by that much and you want a different vehicle you may consider selling it outright as opposed to trading it into a dealer as the dealer will more than likely "hold back" value on your trade in an attempt to make more money from you.

I'm assuming you did not buy an extended warranty on the used vehicle....next time if you buy used you should consider doing so..unless you use it off-road in which case a warranty would have probably been voided anyway.

Oh and if you decide to try to sell it on your own, be cautious.  There are some weirdos out there :-\
