You actually believe that the two won't eventually merge in the near future? That's naive, my friend. What's the reason for keeping the Pride name? Losing fans internationally? Hardly. UFC is planning on monopolizing the sport worldwide. Why else the merger? Get ready for Pride TUF season one next year in Japan. Wow, that will get you steamed, huh? I think it's hilarious how you just chomp at the bit to declare your expertise in MMA when someone makes a point. But I guess you need to be good at something in life, right?
I'm sorry I insulted you with such a theory. Didn't realize you were such a keen expert. No doubt you probably know more than I do about MMA, but so what? I enjoy the sport, what's wrong with that? Is your degree in MMA? If so congratulations for making phi beta cappa. Now go graduate and get into the real world instead of dreaming about Mirko's sweaty speedos.
You really are a UFC fanboy. I hate to break it to you, but on a global scale, Pride is FAR more known than UFC. Pride is a household name in Korea, Japan, Brazil, Holland, most of middle and eastern Europe and it's already moving into China and what not. You ask most of those people about MMA and they'll tell you they know Pride. The same goes for K-1.
I have no problem with the TUF show. It's the keyboard cowboys who come on afterwards acting like they know what they're talking about and that Chuck Liddell is the greatest fighter of all time and Tim Sylvia would destroy that "Fedor guy". Casual fans like you and Bluto are what is wrong with this sport. But hey, keep pumping your money into it and stop talking like you've seen more than 2 fights on Ultimate Fight Night and there wouldn't be a problem.
