It's kind of stupid.

If you import ephedrine from OUTSIDE the EU, it's forbidden, but if you import it from a country within the EU where it is legal, it's ok.

I don't understand that either. They may seize US protein powder because the vitamin B content is too high for german standards, but you can import M1T from the UK.
