I guess I am a genetic freak!!!!! HAHAHAHA J/K but let me ask you this...... would you say those with poor grip would be the same people who specific train forearms to ad size to them. I havn't trained my forearms since when I first began lifting and found them worthless as they gain size in proportion to my arms just gripping for all my lifts. I have heard people say before that you can do more pullups with straps but I never lose my grip before I get to failure, sometimes I even hang 1/2 way through a rep to fully exhaust my back after a set. One thing straps might help me with though is gripping the big DB's (over 100lbs) cause they are mostly all bent.

No I wouldn't say people with poor grip are the ones who train forearms.  I don't see the correlation.

Well many people I see at my gym who use straps on what I see as pointless lifts tend to also train forearms which I also view as pointless...

I once saw a guy using straps to grip 15 lb dumbells when he was doing side laterals.. hahaha  ;D

If they would lose the straps on all lifts they wouldn't need so much forearm work IMO

I have a barbell on mats that I use for deadlifts and rows. 

As I am at home, I just use a big spongebob Beach towel to assist with grip/slipping bar.

well, im guilty of this! lol...

i didnt used straps for years, but i have genetically weak forearms...Do you mean that its just Kamali dont use straps on nothing that in months he will have Lee Priestīs forearms??? im sure you will see this isnt the case...
 If your forearms grow from indirect work, congratulations...you are one of the few that has this...Im cases like mine, direct forearm training is a must AND using straps is good because im my case, my back was prepared for a LOT more heavier weights but my hands would give up a lot sooner...

No but I think using them and gripping tightly for each set is a workout in it's own.

Try a Johnny Bravo towel instead.  That dude is jacked.  Just don't train legs with it.

Sorry, but at the gym i work out at, we have this guy who uses straps when doing bench presses ;D

at mine too.  today this douchebag (monster ILS syndrome, tough guy look, around 20% fat) was doing decline benches with 155 with straps wrapped around the bar.  what next, using wraps on a stationary bike so you can hold on to the handlebars???   ???

My back and arms can pull over 300 pounds, but my hands get fed up after a while!  ;D

Deads
Chins
Heavy BB rows

Anything else, I don't see the point.

lolllll, last week, truth, i'm doing my things......
a friend come up to me and say, look at this guy doing lateral raise 15 pounds each side with straps and a belt!

a fucking belt for lateral raise and then he did dumbbell curls 25 pounds and kept his straps on!  :-\
the guy was about 6 feet tall maybe 190 pounds.
are you delusional?

  I use straps when working palms...If I don't,sometimes I get carried away and get going too fast and fly right off the end,risking a shoulder injury.
