Which of these series was the funniest. Or the most pointless. Both have some of the funniest comedians to ever be on the be screen.

Ace Ventura without a doubt.
A true classic, i was crying from laughing so hard at some scenes. Too bad some of his recent films were either boring/not funny at all.

Eddie Murphy is funny, but Carry is more talented imo. Better at the silly stuff, facial expressions, body humour, etc...

Eddie's best performance was, without doubt, Trading Places.  If you're going to limit it to Dr. Dolittle, then Ace Ventura prevails.
