Tonite is the last night thfor it. I have always liked it. Good story, great actors. And most importantly, a great History lesson.

Yeah, it propelled Lavar Burton into masterpieces such as Reading Rainbow and Star Trek TNG

Ya I saw it. Didn't see it when it first came out, but I remember going back to school the following week, and all the kids were acting wierd. I'd catch them peeking at me out of the corner of their eyes with their mouths hanging open, ...then if I looked in their direction... they quickly turned away. {giggle}

Kind of Off Topic but here goes.

I've visited James Island at he coast of Gambia. Pinta Kinte,(Great)Grandson of Kunta Kinte lives there still. Or did,it was '97. Most of the slaves that Britts hauled across the ocean were gathered there first. 10 squarefeet cell hed 100 slaves at worst! 2/3 of the island sunk when Brittish ammunation storage blew.

Definetly NOT one of your " I feel good " places to visit on holiday...

I wanted to visit there. I always like Alex Haley's Roots, because I am from Annapolis, and Annapolis was a slave port.
