Congrats to the two newest IFBB FIGURE PROS

Paola Almerico & Valerie Haines are your two newest IFBB Figure pros. They both looked great and another woman to keep your eye on this year who will undoubtly turn pro and I was suprised she didn't at this show is Huong Arcinas (who has an 8 month old and a 4 year old child!). Lastly, watch for Heather Green to get her pro card this year as well. If her color was a little better and a tad tighter she would have been in the running at this show.

Lonnie Teper and I caught up with these women, along with Emerald Cup Winner Erin Heath, after the show and have some amusing videos with them, which will be up later today.

Lift - what's your (general) opinion of the physique standard that was applied to the figure classes at the Jr USAs?

It was spot on - not too hard but no soft, somewhere in between. All the class winners looked great. There were a number of women who had a much "healthier" look to them, less drawn in faces, hardened look and overly muscled women at this show. I hope the trend continues at the remainder of pro qualifying shows.

I'm predicting Huong Arcinas will turn pro in her next show - this woman has a killer physique.
