effective? he miss 9 outta 10 kicks. his leg kicks are muay thai kicks. and a spinning back kick isnt typical for tae kwon do.

hope this helps.

Are you sure you know TKD?  Spinning back thrust to the chest is one of the deadliedt kicks in tkd! muay thai kicks are mostly to the thighs but TKD are all targeted from waist up!  Hs is really a superb 90%TKD fighter! :o

That guy is incredible. His legs are so fast, you can't even get near him.

Although his fighting skills look spectacular, the thai and kickbox guys rule his weightclass in K-1 max.

Funny to see people always underestimating  kicks to the thighs which are one of the most effective ways to destroy an opponent.

His high kicks didn`t help him in this fight.

We're talking about standup fighting.
Everyone already knows you need ground skills in that kind of fight. Welcome to 2007.

Yes, so what? I've posted that before, and I also posted a TKD fighter that kicks ass.

I agree that Muay Thai fighters will beat TKD fighters 75% of the time though because their conditioning is usually far superior. FC Karate fighters also beat TKD fighters 75% of the time (all other things being equal) because of conditioning and hand technique. The technique itself though is very good in the hands of a tough fighter like this guy.

Being used to taking punishment is important in fighting, and most TKD schools as far as I know only do point fighting. Good technique without real fight experience usually doesn't cut it.

Why have you edited your original post.?You initially said everyone loses a fight at some point, and i agree with you on that point.

Because I didn't look at the link before. I assumed it was a K-1 match he lost. I didn't see it was him getting submitted.

That would be a great fight, but there's a big difference between the kicks from him and the kicks from Buakaw, especially the leg kicks. But I always enjoy watching this guy fighting.
