  • I bring you ultimate reality!
<< John Ashcroft and James Comey are both Republican ideologues who proved that they were willing to endorse and defend even the most radical (and illegal) behavior (including the lawless detention of Jose Padilla and the administration's "refashioned" -- though still illegal -- warrantless eavesdropping program). If they were insisting that the conduct of the Bush administration was not only illegal, but so illegal that they were ready to resign en masse over it, then, as Lederman asks: "can you even imagine how bad it must have been?" ...

We are so plainly beyond the point of no return with this criminality. It is now inescapably evident even for those who struggled for so long to avoid acknowledging it. Here is one of the most establishment-friendly voices of the Bush administration [The Washington Post] proclaiming the Attorney General of the United States to be a chronic liar and accusing the Bush administration -- as part of events in which the President was deeply and personally involved -- of engaging in deliberate cover-up of blatant lawbreaking.  >>

ribo,

those who like Bush will not even look at this.  They'll call it liberal crap.  They won't bat an objective eyelid.  They are POS brainwashed idiots who chew their cud and nod in unison.  Fuccem.  When the pendulum returns to normal and the nation regains some legality/normalcy in the next few years, they'll spend their older years looking in the mirror knowing what fcking cowards they were.

Honestly most people on the middle right don't really care and it doesn't matter if it is GOP or Dem. We all know how politicians are and don't expect much better. If it isn't effecting us directly or think it might affect our kids then whatever. As long as there are politicians it will never change.

nah, but it will swing back to the sensible.

this has happened for decades. a period of extreme abuse, followed by a period of repair.  Bush1/reagan's policies made us strong overseas but neglated the country.  clinton ignored overseas and fixed domestic problems.  Bush2 focused on energy acquirement from iraq and others.  Next guy/gal will probably fix what will be a shittank economy here at home using the resources Bush2 grabbed for us.

it's just cycles, over and over.  Repubs GET resources from others for a decade, then dems FIX homefront.  Cyclical.

So the first act of this congress is to add 42 billion in pork to a war funding bill in order to buy votes, and you call that fixing the homefront? They are all politicians and all just as crooked as the next.
