I just read this two times. It seems you smoked some good weed, or you just had a tough leg day.

Either way, your post doesn't make much sense. You have all kinds of whites (trailer-park, hippies, yuppies, hard workers, ...) and blacks (same) and chinese.

If you pick the right people who have the right mindset you can turn any desert into an oase. Why do you think chinese economy is growing so quickly? Cause they are working their balls off and they are focussed on a good result (China is being led by ingeneers, yes the top politicians are engineers as well).
Western economies are not advancing cause people are becoming lazy and fat, we don't know what we want anymore, the population is divided and there's no focus.

Because the IQ of the average black person is one standard deviation below that of the average white person from the evidence I've read.  If you have additional evidence saying something else, I would be happy to hear it.

The highest grade test scores and educational advances , with-in the greater NY school system (both public and private), is held by a mostly all black Catholic high school in either the inner city Bronx's or Harlem. Can't recall which. With the raising black middle class (sorry Jesse Jackson) the overall grade average should turn upward for black students. Better school resources and local environmental factors being equal. Doctor Murray's Bell curve (if that's what Matt C's bases is for IQ's) has been faulted quite a bit over the years (as has other forms of this intellect measure).  Maybe rightly, maybe not with regards to inherit  intellect. A true IO test  is a series of test, grouped together for reasoning, analysis and mental action/reactions. Actually the IO test isslowly becoming a thing of the past as a gage of measurement of potential intellectual abilities in a lot of education systems.


My own axiom:

Just watched 'Deal or No Deal', an episode with Wesley Autrey, the man who jumped in the path of an oncoming subway train to save a passenger who'd fallen from the platform (back in January).

Cutting to the chase, with 3 cases left in play - $25, $10K, and $1M - the offer was $305,000.  He had previously turned down $148K and $209K. 

Here's what he said to a writer before going on the show:

“I feel like the black prince of America,” he had told me earlier. “I just don’t have the money yet.”

"The Man" offered him $305,000 and he rejected it.  I just don't understand.  This guy is supporting about 14-15 people (including his SON'S kids!! a story in itself)...I just don't get it.  The worst part was that he and all his family members who were present all kept saying the same thing: "Came with nothing, therefore there's nothing to lose".

Ugh.

The next case, of course, contained the million, and the final offer was $5000.  He turned that down and left with $25, plus a Jeep donated by Chrysler. 

There's still a chance he'll be able to sell his 'story' for big money, but there's already a lawsuit involved on that. 

How a man who's broke could turn down $305,000 is beyond me, but I suspect if he'd been raised differently (his father left the home when he was a young kid), he might've made a smarter choice when such good fortune came his way.

IQ can be misleading, especially when measuring people from certain nations. People living on a dollar a day cannot possibly develop their brains. But since we're talking about the western world, I do think mean IQ is a fair measure of where people are. If IQ weren't important, then why is there a positive correlation between high IQ and income? Why is there a positive correlation between IQ and education level? Why is the mean IQ for college grads exactly one standard deviation higher than the mean?

I don't know jack about psychology, but that seems like a good measure. There are different types of intelligence for sure.
