Idiotic response. They are more reasons to staying healthy and fit than hunting animals.

I don't tan, it's better for my skin. We can talk again when we're fifty and then you'll see that i am healthy, fit and young looking whereas you will have a stupid tattoo you thought was cool in your early 20s and bad skin from the sunbed.

If you want to get a tattoo, you should ask yourself only one question: "If i painted something that i thought was very cool on my body ten years ago, what would it be?" Face it, 10 years ago you where an idiot and most people here would have gotten a Ninja Turtles tattoo or Micky Mouse.
10 years from now you will feel the same, that is totally normal, it's called maturing and learning. If you don't you're dumb.  ;D

Hope this helps.  ;D ;D

so your saying my ninja turtlews tat sucks   >:( i am afraid you jsut dont know what cool is my firend  ;D

Really the main bad thing with tattoos in my opinion is just that a guy will think of something cool and get it and then people start copying until it isn't cool and becomes a joke

But hey really to each their own i have a few ideas i would like to get as a tattoo but i don't know if i would like them permanently and that is the only reason why i don't get ink

You miss the point.

What you think is cool now is not what you will think is cool in ten years.  ;D

Hey no prob with what man wants to put on his body ya know. However, I was curious as to what you and some others felt was too much for for a bodybuilder in a contest.

??? At what point should a guy/girl be placed lower because of tatoos? How much is too much for a contest?

I like my ink.
I got it for ME!It's not my fault your chick's digging on 'em.

I like to wear wife beaters to the gym, because it's comfortable. Not to show off.Or impress you foolish mortals.

I have a foo manchoo because it looks good. Not to intimatate people.
All I've gotta do is go BOO!Or just show/flex the posterior deltoid.

I joke. But this is no joke.If you dont like it dont look.I understand there are ALOT of dudes who are trying to hide behind all that. But not all of us who have any or all of what you've mentined. Are trying to prove or hide anything.
I've grown the f#%k up.Moved past all that tough guy crap.But I still have my ink,Foo man,harley,ect.

Howard.you seem to validate your self by the women you run with. You elevate yourself,While it may seem like a joke.At the expence of others.Put them down so you feel better.Ivy leauge educations, corvette's,bleach blondes with bolt on accesories may look classy. But it sure dosen't mean you are classy.
So you ask why....I ask you why

Or the guy who took it upon himself to as the women the club if the look works.
Your probably the "harmless guy friend" the girls hang out with. But dont drop any ass to.The guy they dress/undress in front of when they're getting ready to go out.Or they were the guys who took your money,Then stuck you in your looker.Either way.Why do you care?

It just kills me when people who have issues of they're own.Start banging on other people they have no clue about.Wether it be an armanie suit.Or a tapout tank.
Do they talk to you?
Do they threaten you?
Do they put they're hands on you?
Then who the hell are you,And what buisness is it of yours!?

If you did talk to them.you just might be surprised at what you discover.I was a drunk/drug addict,I've been to prison.I've hurt the people I love, and have done things I'm not proud of.But I'm also a loving father/husband/son.I quit drinking/drugs years ago.I'm a college student, who's working to be an R.N..
So despite the rough exterior.I'm a good person, with a good heart.
Stop,and think before you speak.

Obviously, we attract different woman in terms of what they like. This does not make me any better or worse than you or vice versa. To be honest I have been with three woman in the last 21 years and was married to the first two for 10 yrs each and am dating the 3rd now for the past 6mos.
I have no kids but enjoy my career and modest income as a science teacher.
I read and appreciate your well thought and sincere reply and question(s).
The reality in society is pretty simple in terms of our image and dress. Fair or not, unless someone knows who and what we are they have nothing else to go on but our dress, image and overall look and demeanor.
As I said in later posts in this thread, some of the finest human beings I ever meet have a lot of tatoos and look kinda "rough".
I am a humble high school physics teacher who bodybuilds as a hobby. My dress hardly makes a statement and overall I am a humble and modest man. I drive a clean , dependable KIA spectra and live in a modest 2 BR townhouse I was able to purchase on a VA loan. I never went to any Ivy league schools. nor dated big boob blondes and don't care for pompous folks.
Not that it matters, but I still don't fully understand the "why" or motivation for extensive tatoos or to cultivate a
"rough " image. That was my original question and maybe you could shed some light on it. I tend to make jokes and try to be a funny guy, etc. Like most people I am naturally curious about those that seem different than I.
Thanks again, Howard

I waited until I was 48 to get my first tattoo. I had lost both my parents and a sister in a short amount of time. My tattoos were designed by myself and an artist. They have meaning and were designed with my family in mind. If you are going to commit to body art; make the piece have meaning, and help design an original work of art. My tats are on my upper arms, very few people even know I have them. I also believe that tattoos look better on athletic bodies. Why would you want to put art on a poor canvas! I enjoy my tattoos, and believe me; I am old enough to know better. As a BB judge I also never mark contestants down for them. They are common and accepted.Just my thoughts.......

I don't know if it's the same in your area, but I do guest speakings at high schools every now and then, and it saddens me to see so many girls now with the tramp stamp.  Comments?

Yes, but it's a nice quality symbol, you can check quickly which girls don't make a good wife.  ;) ;)

BTW, studies shows that tramp stamps cause problems during birth because doctors can't use any anesthesics because the color might be washed into the vertebrae.  ;D ;D

I also judge and don't place a guy or gal lower due to a tatoo or 2. However, if it is ALL OVER their back or front and distracts from their overall physique, it should be a negative in a physique contest.

well if that is the case people should get marked down for being ugly or having crappy hair, its not part of the physique but sure can be distracting or make the body look less appealing.

I was watching miami ink and everybody that goes into the shop has a reason for getting their tat

alot of women get a tat of their dead child on their back

if i'm banging a chick from behind I don't want to stare at a pic of her dead kid

also if tats weren't "in" nowadays I wonder if all these people would still be tattooing their body with a tat that supposedly means something to them

I have nothing against putting a tatoo on a bodypart  that has meaning, but I simply prefer to keep my values and philosophy(s) in my mind . It all comes down to one's personal taste.
