wow protein? and mixing creatine and carbs? amazing

where do you guys come up with all this break through stuff !!!

also ive never seen any studies backing glutamine ever. EVER.

carry on.

Exactly, Milos is like 10 years behind other supplement companies. He promoted this stuff like it was something revolutionary. Take a look at Biotests Surge drink. Same shit.

And regarding the bloodflow and delivering aminos during the workout somehow boosting anabolism -- it's a nice theory but there is no proof at all that it makes you grow faster at the end of the day. Aminos in a fasted state and/or preworkout boosts protein synthesis acutely but what about in someone who is not training in a fasted state and eating a lot of protein already? That's what's unknown.

From what I've read, Sarcev seems to be promoting the timing of consuming these nutrients, moreso than the nutrients themselves. As I stated in my initial post here, it's not much different than what I've been doing.

The changes I've made is that I'm taking a creatine supplement during my workout (SIZE-ON). And, I'm taking the pre-workout shake much closer to traning time than I was in the past, mixing it with a NO product. The post-workout shake has been a constant.

In the recent MD he lists

3-5 gms of creatine AGREE
5-10 gms of glutamine USELESS NO SCIENTIFIC STUDIES TO SUPPORT THIS aa UNLESS YOU ARE A TRIATHLETE OR MARATHON RUNNER
15-20 gms of essential amino acids UM, NO NEED FOR MORE THAN 3-6 EAA'S AT MOST! ALSO 50% OF WHOLE PROTEIN IS EAA - SO WHY NOT USE WHOLE PROTEIN SUCH AS WHEY?
15 gms of BCAA's GREAT FOR EXPENSIVE PRODUCT, DOES NOTING ON ITS OWN OR THAT WHOLE PROTEIN WON'T DUE
30-50 gms of vitargo AGREE
1 tsp of electrolyte drink powder UNLESS YOU EXERCISE LONGER THAN 75 MINUTES OR ARE ON AAS, NO NEED FOR THIS
16-24 oz of water MORE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DRINK SLUDGE OF HIGH OSMOLOLAITY!

Do you think nutrient timing is critical? Do you think it will make you grow faster and/or bigger in the end?

I agree that aminos don't provide anything that whole proteins don't except the speed of absorption which is Milos' point - to supply the aminos to the working muscles. Intact protein, even whey, takes a while to absorb. I don't think it makes a real difference in the end for most though since people usually have had a meal or meals hours in advance of the workout (aminos are in the blood during the workout).

I agree. If the nutrition DURING workout is crucial, then free amino acids do the trick. That would also fit the vitargo, wich is absorped very fast.

Yeah...
Only problem w/ that is, again, timing. It's a pain in the ass to time it exactly right, and the meal will be digested slowly so there is no real peak of aminos in the bloodstream even if you do get the timing right.
Even if I agreed with what you said we then arrive at my second point: will nutrient timing affect muscle growth at the end of the day? What Milos says is PURE THEORY. There isn't much scientific proof that having high amino levels around the workout will make you grow any faster. One of the premier protein researchers, I forget if it was Tipton or Lemon or someone else, said that nutrient timing MIGHT improve rates of muscle growth but it would take YEARS for it to be measurable.

There are plenty of huge bodybuilders who rarely have protein shakes or even worry about quick carbs after workouts.

I think so. But, I don't expect a huge difference by taking Milos Sarcev's advice. As I've stated before, it isn't that much different than what I've been doing for a while.

The biggest alterations over the last two weeks have simply been adding an NO product (SuperPump 250 or powdered PUMP-TECH) to my pre-workout protein shake and, SIZE-ON during my workout, and replacing CELL-TECH with Six Star creatine.
