Not a 100% sure but I thought Big John used to be in law enforcement or a fire department??

Herb Dean has a few fights under his belt.

Mario Yamasaki was well known in sport BJJ, but hasn't done any mma, to my knowledge.

Big John is a black belt in BJJ, though.

If you ever watched the show Pros Vs. Joes....when Randy Couture was on there, BJM, said he rolls with him all the time, so that's what got me wondering....my thinking is that you probably fought some fights so when you're reffing you know what to look for out there....
